About the festival
For over 30 years, the annual Thirlmere Festival of Steam has been held in March to mark the opening of steam season. In 2022, the village will fire up for a weekend of family fun and entertainment; it’s a premier event for the train enthusiast too. This year’s event is proudly brought to you by: Wollondilly Shire Council and the NSW Rail Museum (which is operated by Transport Heritage NSW).
